Levels of Membership
Full Membership shall be accorded to full-time working journalists, who produce, gather or disseminate News; to journalism educators and to retirees who have spent at least 10 years as working journalists.
Associate Membership shall be accorded to persons who work as professionals in mass communications, but who do not meet the requirements of full membership.
Affiliate Membership shall be accorded to persons committed to the goals of the NABJ/WBMA, but who do not meet the requirements of the other categories of membership.
Student Membership is open to anyone who is a full-time student who is majoring in a field within mass Communications or, where the college or university does not offer such a major, indicates a strong interest In pursuing a career in the field.
